The
TraceTek Leak Detection and Locating System
was developed by the international material science manufacturing
company Raychem in
the early 1980s. Raychem products are in use in
tens of thousands of leak detection applications
worldwide.
The company's sales and field service is backed by offices
in 50 countries, manufacturing plants in 14 countries
and research and development centres in six countries.
The multi-billion-dollar conglomerate Tyco
International put its financial muscle and resources
behind the company when they merged in 1999. It is now
part of the Tyco Thermal Controls division with its UK
base at Swindon.
The Raychem
legacy is very much in evidence today. In the construction
industries it is one of the best known and respected brand
names, with a global reputation for reliability. With
a sustained commitment - over 2 decades - to leading the
world in it's technological design, and with enormous
financial investment, it's pre-eminence is no surprise.
The R & D torch is now carried by Tyco International
and the TraceTek laboratories
in California. In the UK, Aquilar actively contributes
to their global activities.
Aquilar is the appointed TraceTek Master
Distributor for the UK and Ireland. As a complete leak
detection provider, Aquilar is developing the Master Distributorship
model for Tyco worldwide. Raychem provide the technology
for water, chemical,
oil and refrigerant
leak detection.
