Sensor Housings

Standard sensor housing

  • IP41 rated
  • For applications in normal conditions and in facilities with low levels of dust or moisture
  • Typically used in plant rooms, machinery rooms and cold rooms
  • Semiconductor model can be used in -20°C to +50°C.
  • Infrared models can be used in 0°C to +50°C
IP66 sensor housing
  • IP66 rated
  • For applications where high levels of dust, moisture or condensation are present.
  • Fitted with Delrin head preventing condensation within the electronics
  • Fast response
  • Semiconductor model can be used in -40°C to +50°C
  • Electrochemical model can be used in -40°C to +40°C
  • Not available for IR CO2 sensors
IP55/Low Temp sensor housing
  • IP55 rated
  • For applications where dust or moisture (non condensing) is present. (Breather drain must point downwards)
  • Typical applications include: cold stores, swimming pools, outdoor areas, marine industry and food processing plants
  • For applications down to -40 °C
  • Can also be used for Carbon Dioxide low temperature applications (to –40 °C) using an heater circuit
  • Standard Entries – 20mm ISO metric
Decorative Face Plate (For Remote Sensor)
  • For installations where aesthetics are important
  • Brushed stainless steel, discrete low profile remote sensor and facia, can be mounted within a single gang electrical wall box (min 47mm deep)
  • Wires directly into the controllers sensor connection
  • Requires a controller that supports a remote sensor.
  • Provided with 10 metres of fly-lead cable
  • Alternative fascias can be supplied to special order to match decor
Airflow / Duct Mount Indoor
  • Monitor internal airflows or ducts while allowing easy access to the sensor for maintenance.
  • Uses pitot type sample tubes to extend into the duct.
  • Used to monitor leaks in air conditioning or a gas in an airflow.
Airflow / Duct Mount Outdoor
  • Monitor external airflows or ducts while allowing easy access to the sensor for maintenance.
  • Uses pitot type sample tubes to extend into the duct.
  • Used to monitor leaks in air conditioning or a gas in an airflow.
EExd - hazardous areas
  • ATEX standard Exd rated enclosure
  • For use in hazardous areas, where flammable gases, vapour fumes or dust are present.
  • Typical applications include hazardous areas such as machinery rooms, boiler rooms, storage facilities, and refrigeration.
  • Approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Flameproof, explosion proof, and weatherproof (ATEX, Ex d IIB+H2 T6 IP66).
  • Standard Entries: 20 I.S.O metric, 1.5mm pitch
Vent Pipe Indoor
  • Used to monitor any weeping gases from internal pressure relief valves or similar gas leaks in normal pressure pipes or gas levels in airflows in pipes.
  • Sensor head is fitted into a threaded gun-barrel fitting 1” BSP (brass option shown).
  • The fitting screws into a tee on the vent pipe 1-2m above the pressure relief valve.
Vent Pipe Outdoor
  • Used to monitor any weeping gases from external pressure relief valves or similar gas leaks in normal pressure pipes or gas levels in airflows in pipes.
  • Sensor head is fitted into a threaded gun-barrel fitting 1” BSP (brass option shown).
  • The fitting screws into a tee on the vent pipe 1-2m above the pressure relief valve.
Remote EExd sensor head – IP66 Housing
  • ATEX approved Exd
  • For use in hazardous areas, where flammable gases, vapor fumes or dust are present
  • Economical alternative to the Exd enclosure
  • Exd remote senor head is located in the Ex area and is connected by a 5 meter cable to the enclosure outside the hazardous area e.g. a standard, IP66, or other
  • Approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Ex d IIB+H2 T6
  • Typical applications include areas classified as hazardous such as machinery rooms, boiler rooms, storage facilities, and refrigerated areas

Remote sensor head – IP66 Housing

  • Remote sensor contained within a Delrin head to prevent condensation reaching the electronics
  • Fast response
  • Rated –40 °C to +50 °C. (+40 °C with electrochemical sensors)
  • The IP66 enclosure is recommended for applications where high levels of dust, moisture or condensation are present.
