Thank you Rusper from the boys…

Two errant Golden Retrievers ventured across the fields from Aquilar HQ. Dusty and Lucas wish to thank their rescuers from the village…

When Dusty and Lucas set off from Aquilar HQ at dusk in December, they went in search of adventure. Meandering across the muddy fields to the village of Rusper, they came to the busy main road at evening rush hour. As “home” for the intrepid pair was some 200 miles away in a remote rural backwater on Dartmoor, this was not the sort of adventure they were equipped to handle.

The boys would like to thank the quick thinking sisters, Claire, Amy and Harriet who came to the rescue, rang the police, notified the village post office, dried, fed and entertained them and eventually delivered them safely to the Sampford vetinary practice.

Meanwhile a two hour desperate 4 x 4 search was in full swing in the fields around Dial Post Court. Reinforcements had arrived, with Aquilar’s Technical Director Julian Waumsley providing torches, wellies, cellular communication capabilities, reassurance and local knowledge. Cynthia’s village hotline swung into action and the boys were quickly located.

Dusty and Lucas would like to send their love and thanks to their rescuers.
Sadly they thoroughly enjoyed themselves,
And as regular visitors to HQ they are likely to take any opportunity they can to renew the acquaintance.
