Raychem
leak detection to be promoted as TraceTek® brand
Raychem
TraceTek leak detection products, well known in the
construction industry, are to be re-branded as
TraceTek®.
In the early 1980s the global materials science company
Raychem developed world-leading leak detection cable
technologies that have dominated the industry since its
inception.
Acquiring
the company in 1999, Tyco International set about integrating
Raychem’s product offerings into
the Tyco brand line-up, positioning them in the Tyco
Thermal Controls division.
The TraceTek product has high recognition ratings, and
is to be branded without the Raychem prefix.
Roger Clark, head of communications at TraceTek UK Master
Distributor Aquilar, is confident that the switch will
be achieved in the twelve-month timescale set by Tyco.
“You just need to look around the Aquilar website
to see what an impact the Raychem name and culture has
had on the industry. We’re going to use that profile,
and create communications that draw the attention of
our customers to the “TraceTek “ name. They
will see a phased withdrawal of “Raychem” over
the period.”
The Raychem name will continue to be used with Tyco
Thermal Controls' self regulating trace heating products,
as well as a wide range of Tyco Electronics' products.
Tyco
and TraceTek® are registered trademarks of
Tyco Thermal Controls LLP
